SUBMISSION CRITERIA
Spaces that we’re interested in,
-can be used without the need to patronize a business or pay admission (without money);
-can be used by anyone;
-aren’t closely surveilled or surveilled for the purpose of removing people that “loiter;”
-feel welcoming/safe for anyone;
-might be officially “public space” or privately-owned-public-space;
-can be any scale.
SUBMISSIONS SHOULD INCLUDE
1.A high resolution, colour, unedited photograph (2000 pixels wide on the short side, minimum) showing the free space. If there are people in the photographs, they should not be identifiable (faces should not be shown);
2.A dwg file of the urban context, drawn in the same manner as the example file (.09 lineweight, same proportion box around the site and roughly the same scale);*
3.A 3dm file of the space modeled in a detailed, precise manner;*
4.An isometric line drawing extracted from the Rhino file, cropped to an 11×17” area, in landscape orientation;*
5.A 150-300 word description of your chosen free space, together with your name as you would like it printed;
6.A short (2-3 sentence) description of the urban context and neighbourhood reference name.

As the isometric line drawing is the feature of the poster-zine, we would be happy to stay in touch with you as you construct the drawing to ensure it meets print specifications. DEADLINE ISSUE 9: DECEMBER 1, 2024
Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis after August 1st, but the more time we have to work with potential authors, the better.
